Why Kalvarkku iravazhagu? why did I choose a new blog?
I had to restart with a totally new blog as I felt too disconnected with the Rasamsatham blog as there was too much of a gap between posts and posts were also substandard. And bingo I start my new one under the very name of the thriller I wanted to write a year ago with my Sheeba - "Kalvarkku Iravazhagu". I had also finalized the plot with myself - a 40 something nightowl software professional working from home, cracking the serial murders of transsexuals in his area and solving the same using the night as his weapon. It was quite interesting as a plot but I never got beyond the first chapter as writing doesn't flow very well and steady for a book like blogs. It comes in spurts and the writer goes and writes off 2 to 3 chapters in one go and takes a break for a week.Anyways I am planning to still keep pursuing it. Also this blog will deal more with the amazing thrillers I am seeing and I will be sharing the plot without the suspense enough to make you watch it (hopefully). And I will be mostly posting in the night hence connecting more with Kalvarkku Iravazhaghu. This time I wanted to write about the brilliant Malayalam crime thriller - Iratta - This movie should be celebrated and felicitated for the screenplay alone and Joju George in the lead double role. So the twin brothers are sworn enemies of each other and work at the same police station with the elder brother as a senior official living without his family, separated from him(important clue here). The younger brother is a rowdy and miscreant and is at a lower position fighting with everyone and a chronic alcoholic but somehow manages to get the attention of a girl played by Anjali who was abused by her husband. The main plot is the younger twin is found dead with a pistol to his heart with 3 consecutive shots fired on the floor and there were 3 police men who were near him at the time and all are considered suspects. Suicide is naturally ruled out since the man was seen speaking happy to his friends telling them he was taking the girl Anjali out for vacation. Finally when the case doesn't move forward and a minister is caught in between as her function was supposed to happen at the station, the elder twin steps in and questions all and solves the mystery and when he finds the answer, the answer will scar and affect him deeply for life. A Must Watch!!!
