Naan kaanum Nithirai + Ele Veezha Poonjira

 I think the last blog had at least 18 reads and was glad to see these people still believing in my writing. Far lot more content should have been written by me more but I was busy with work as they always say and this is true. As for the work , I work in a shift which encompasses the entire evening and closes by around 1 AM IST after which sleep tries to really evade me and I seem to be operating at Thetha frequency. I am nursing a rather bad leg wound and and am advised no walking or else I would like it all out to go to bed exhausted. That's where the my somewhat naan kaanum nithirai or the sleeping I do is split. I sleep from 2 to 10 and am tired, post breakfast and again have vivid dream filled sleep from 12.30 to 3 PM IST. It at least ensures that no food goes into my mouth and kind of keeps my daytime munching to naught. Post 4 PM I feel amazing energy like at sunrise and just go about getting ready for work, meetings etc. I would like a regular day schedule job but folks who know me know I would close work mostly only by 1 AM followed by Netflix, Prime sessions to clear my OTT backlog. Well I find this peaceful in a way and except for whatsapp, I don't have a chat with anyone except 3-4 friends. When my leg heals, I am planning a workout session once I wake up by 10 AM. It hinders me from going to my son's cricket classes at 8 AM for which I have to break the cycle one day. Till then........I sleep good.

Coming to Ele Veezha Poonjira, a must watch Malayalam thriller starring the increasing popular Mallu star Shoubin sahin is totally amazing and mind blowing. As the title says the incidents happen on the top of the Poonjira mountain 3500 ft above sea level from where one cop apparently jokes that we can see Burj Al Khalifa. Ela Veezha means there are no leaves falling in this valley as the legend goes that Goddess Parvati took a bath in the river and Gandarvas watched her from tops of trees and Lord Shiva, finding this got angry and cursed that the valley shall have no trees or leaves to hide and watch. When the other cop tells Soubhin, Soubhin says rightfully that then it is not the trees that should have been punished right?? That's where the seriousness and plot of the thriller starts. A women's body has been chopped to pieces and strewn all over the valley and also in Poonjira. And one of the hand is right outside the police station on top of the hill. Soubhin starts acting mysteriously and suspiciously on the other officer and makes sure he is always in sight. What is the mystery all about? and who is the lady and how is she connected to these officers? and how can a honest loving man take the adultery of his wife in the right way forms the rest of the movie. I am surprised that either the director or Soubhin has been awarded yet for this amazing movie while a loud banging meaningless song called Naatu Naatu wins an Oscar. Well thats all is to be told about the world. Pure show and riches eclipse the brilliance in lives.
